Overview

The Investing Group, or TIG, operates tigchicago.com. This policy explains what information TIG receives through its mailing list, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

TIG does not sell personal information or use personal information for third-party advertising.

Information we receive

When you join the mailing list, TIG receives your first name, last name, email address, submission time, and the fact that the submission came from the website. This information is kept in a private Google Sheet and used to send meeting details, research, and occasional TIG updates.

Cloudflare Turnstile may process IP address, browser, and device information to distinguish people from automated abuse. TIG does not add that technical information to its mailing-list records.

How information is used

TIG uses information described in this policy to:

• Manage mailing-list subscriptions and send TIG updates.
• Respond to subscription and removal requests.
• Maintain accurate records and prevent duplicate or abusive submissions.

Service providers

TIG uses Google Sheets to keep its private mailing-list records. Google processes that information under its own privacy terms.

Cloudflare provides encrypted delivery, traffic security, and Turnstile spam protection for the mailing-list form.

TIG may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, TIG, or others.

Retention and security

Mailing-list information is retained while you remain subscribed or while reasonably needed to maintain subscription records.

TIG limits access to mailing-list records and uses encrypted connections and restricted account permissions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but TIG takes reasonable measures appropriate to the mailing list.

Your choices

You may ask to join or leave the mailing list, or request a correction or deletion of information you submitted, by contacting TIG. TIG may retain limited records when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or honoring an unsubscribe request.

Changes and contact

TIG may update this policy when its mailing-list practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
